First Light - Construction Complete

Yesterday the First Light team were very proud to be the second of the 19 competitors to get their entry signed off by officials as being complete.

A tremendous effort of the tag team on 14 hour shifts that went like clockwork.  The rehearsal construction on Frank Kitts Park in May was fantastic preparation for the real thing in Washington - proving that practice makes perfect.

Our man on the ground Michael Warwick has been in there helping the team navigate the competition rules and ensuring that the all important electrical systems are optimal to achieving winning results in the competition.

For more check out the First Light blog or on Facebook.  And have a look at the competition site US Solar Decathalon to see how the good old kiwi bach is going to be tested assessed and judged!

Today the team is looking forward to VIP tours - playing host to the Rt Hon Bill English and former Prime Minister Helen Clark.  Go First Light!
