8 Nugent Street Development

This large, mixed use development by S&T has created a new urban precinct for Auckland. 8 Nugent Street comprises a refurbished six-storey building and two new buildings around a central courtyard. 

The buildings have not only maximised the floor area on the site, but also create a new urban precinct with an active frontage with retail, showroom and cafe space at plaza level with offices and apartments above. The open plaza is a shared space for pedestrians and low-speed vehicular circulation and provides access to retail spaces.

The office buildings are designed to create a sophisticated commercial image comprising large areas of glazing, varied to suit environmental conditions, and to act as a counterfoil to the more detailed interactive timber-clad façade of the refurbished existing building.

Office Buiding B achieved a 4 Star Green Star rating through the careful analysis of the building and environment using the latest modelling techniques.
