Baycorp Advantage House Lobby Refurbishment
In 2004 Stephenson & Turner were approached by AMP Capital Investors to redesign the lobby and front entrance to Baycorp Advantage House.
Their brief was to modernise and convert the building’s tired and gloomy lobby into a space that would better reflect the image of the building’s predominantly marketing and media orientated tenants.
Stephenson & Turner’s response was to open up the front of the lobby to the street with twin frameless glass sliding doors, allowing natural light to penetrate into the space. A pallet of light coloured materials were used throughout to maximise reflected light.
The new structural steel and translucent glass canopy was also designed to allow maximum day light into the lobby.
