Fisher & Paykel Limited Projects
Stephenson&Turner's building services engineers have been retained by Fisher & Paykel over a period of 10 years for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire engineering design. The firm has carried out extensive and complex building services work both in their East Tamaki industrial complex (Electronics, Appliances, Laundry and Refrigeration Divisions), and, more recently, for their new Healthcare Division premises in Panmure.
The total area of the projects, which comprise a range of office, laboratory and manufacturing facilities, is over 50,000m2. The work carried out also includes improvements to both sites’ infrastructures - 11kV reticulation with substations, central chilled water plant and site distribution, fire hydrants, and sprinkler water storage. The complex is arguably the largest low-rise industrial office complex in New Zealand.
Stephenson&Turner's most recent additon to their project work for Fisher & Paykel is the New Components Factory, also in the East Tamaki industrial complex. The factory will produce electrical appliance components, and is soon to be under construction, due for fast-track completion in April 2004.
