As Principal and Stephenson&Turner Chairman, Ken has more than 30 years experience in the architectural industry. He is highly experienced in managing various client and stakeholder relationships as well as design and delivery teams and has led some of the firm’s largest capital projects, including those at Mount Eden Prison and Auckland Airport.

Ken joined S&T in 1982, gaining full registration as an architect in that year, and was appointed Principal in 1987. He gained extensive experience in the retail sector as the project architect for three major award-winning extensive renovation projects at Manukau Shopping Centre. His work at Auckland airport, New Zealand’s main gateway, includes the design of an entirely new, 12-gate international pier and a Pier Separation project to segregate arriving and departing passengers, involving the addition of a circulation route on the roof of the pier and the relocation and reconfiguration of airside retail areas.

Ken maintains professional involvement through his membership of NZIA and is a member of the BRANZ advisory Board. He is also a past an examiner for the Architects Education and Registration Board.
