Matthew Kinsey

Matt started working at S&T in 2008 and has since been involved in a number of S&T’s high-profile interior design projects. Day-to-day work for Matt includes planning and spatial design, producing 2D and 3D visualizations, modelling within BIM software and documenting construction drawings, along with on-site coordination.

Matt’s design skills reveal a strong understanding of spatial design. He believes the first step to a great project is ensuring the flow of space compliments the building’s environment and clients’ needs. As a specialised interior architect he is passionate about creating internal environments which promote health and well-being for building occupants and, of course, great aesthetical design.

He is a also a great proponent for sustainable design. His work on projects like MAF Multipurpose Building and the recently completed S&T Wellington Design Studio, both are proof that sustainable design doesn’t have to cost a fortune to achieve.

In his spare time Matt enjoys the great outdoors and on weekends can be found fishing, diving and tramping in and around Wellington.
