Michael Warwick

Michael joined S&T in 2001 and was appointed Associate in 2011. Michael’s background is in architectural and building services.

He gained ‘Green Star Accredited Professional’ status in 2005 and was the first to be listed in the New Zealand section of the directory of the Australian Green Building Council, gaining the New Zealand equivalent status in 2007 - having been on the New Zealand Green Building Council establishment Board. Also a Homestar Assessor, Michael is a leading practitioner of sustainability based design and is widely sort after for his expertise in environmental standards, compliance and assessment. 

Michael also specialises in multi award winning lighting and has worked on a variety of projects ranging from the innovative Saatchi & Saatchi ‘modular office’, New Zealand’s first daylight harvesting system using ‘DALI’ control, Kenepuru Hospital’s operating theatre lighting, Victoria University's marae gateway and S&T's Wellington design Studio. He uses his leadership skills to mentor students, including for the Meridian First Light winning entry to the US Department of Energy’s Solar Decathalon international competition.

Michael is also a NZGBC Homestar Assessor.
